Jenn-Air On-line Reality Series – “In the Kitchen with Tori Ritchie” Has Launched
All, I am pleased to announce that the Jenn-Air online reality series, “In the Kitchen with Tori Ritchie,” is now live. The reality competition focused on cooking and entertaining launched at the end of March (my apologies for this late communication) and can be viewed by going to the microsite – www.inthekitchenshow.com.
The series consists of nine contestants competing to win a new Jenn-Air suite of appliances. Each contestant is working with host Tori Ritchie to create a meal for a loved one to celebrate a special event. The winner will be selected in June, based on the number of votes received – that person will be surprised by a visit from Ritchie at their home and given the news. The visit from Tori to the winner’s home will be videotaped and added to the site as an episode at that time.
Viewers can access the microsite by typing in the url www.inthekitchenshow.com . Within the microsite, one episode is featured each week, although all 10 episodes (one episode per contestant, plus a “final” episode to toast all the contestants and the show) can be viewed at any time. After viewing the episodes, visitors can vote for their favorite contestant directly on the site OR by texting their choice to a designated number. By voting, viewers are entered into a drawing to win a Jenn-Air UnderCounter Beverage Center.
Within the microsite, viewers can also read bios about the show’s host and all nine contestants; get and share the recipes; share the site with a “friend” on Facebook or Twitter; tour the kitchen and learn more about Jenn-Air products.
The program time line is as follows:
Program Launch: March 23. 2010
Competition/Voting: March 23-June 14, 2010
Winner Selection: June 15, 2010
Voter Drawing: June 14, 2010; winner notified on or before September 1
Running in syndication: July through Dec. 2010
